100 Indian Birds
My first book ‘100 Indian Birds’, co-authored by Nikhil Devasar, the founder of Delhi Bird Foundation, and Maitreya Sukumar, a co-founder of CAN Club, is part of ‘The Big Little Nature Books’ series of books published by Dorling Kindersley Publishers under Penguin House of Publishing. This book offers a wholesome view of the world of Indian birds – common and rare – allowing easy recognition of 100 species found in India. Stunning images (including those taken by me) complement the interesting description of individual profiles – with essential information on the physical description, habitat, where to see the bird etc. The introductory spreads showcase the fascinating diversity of birds in India, their role in the ecosystem and the steps taken for their conservation. With fascinating stories, such as how birds communicate, or defend their territories, 100 Indian Birds offers an engaging introduction to the diversity of the world of birds.
The book was published in January 2020 and is available for purchase on Amazon https://www.amazon.in/100-Indian-Birds-Little-Nature/dp/9388372182
